Korean noodles found to contain excess GMO content

As part of product safety monitoring, the Almaty branch of the RSE at the National Center of Expertise of the KSEK Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan received 6 samples of food products. The selected products were tested for antibiotics, hormones, DNA, GMOs and microbiological indicators.

During the research, the Samyang RAMEN instant noodles revealed that the GMO content exceeded the norm ( 3.5% when the norm was no more than 0.9% ).

Over 10 months, 17 samples of instant noodles were examined at the NCE branch in Almaty, of which two samples turned out to be positive for GMO indicators.

The research results obtained were transferred to the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control for the city of Almaty for appropriate measures.
